First pioneered at the Lampoldshausen propulsion centre, modular propulsion systems have now become a standard used by satellite manufacturers around the world.
Our electric propulsion systems are based on the space proven Radio Frequency Ion Technology using Xenon propellant. Within this field, we produce complete propulsion systems, modules, thrusters and related components.
In addition to complete propulsion systems, we supply separately - propulsion subsystems and component parts including hydrazine thrusters, ion thrusters, bipropellant thrusters, apogee motors, propellant tanks and fluid valves for propellants and pressurants.
Bipropellant tanks range from 180 to 2100 litre capacity. A tank capacity may be precisely matched to system requirements by varying the tank cylindrical section length between the domes.
Hydrazine propellant tanks range from 58 to 176 litre capacity. The range includes a bladder tank and two surface tension tanks.
The orbital propulsion centre provides total ground support including on-site hot fire testing, supply of ground support equipment, supply of propellants, propulsion systems integration at customer facilities, propellant loading at ranges world-wide and consultancy on all aspects relating to propulsion systems, propellants and associated infrastructure.
